• Most permanent jobs are advertised on this site. Each office is responsible for the recruitment of its own positions. The closing location, closing date and competition number are listed for each competition.
  
  
• A separate application or resume is required for each competition. Always quote the competition number on each application and ensure that you include an e-mail address where you can be contacted. If you do not have an e-mail address ensure that you have indicated a telephone number where you can be reached.
  
  
• Your application/resume must clearly identify how you meet each of the stated qualifications in the competition posting.
  
  
• Criminal record checks are required for some positions.
  
  
• In some cases, a questionnaire specifically designed for a competition may be required, or the posting may state that a competition package must be completed.

• Confirmation of receipt of your application confirmation will not be provided.
  
  
• After the closing date, the selection panel reviews all eligible applications and based on the information submitted, identifies those applicants who meet the required qualifications. These individuals are contacted and given information on the next steps required for the selection process.
  
  
• Majority of the Competitions are open to those who are interested, however, some positions are open only to those eligible Canadian Citizens or permanent resident of Canada (as defined by Citizenship & Immigration Canada).
  
• Unless otherwise noted, Temporary Appointments are restricted to applicants within a reasonable commuting distance from the location of the posted position. Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply to Temporary Appointments.
